WHO WE ARE

The North Texas Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French is committed to serve the interests and needs of educators of French at all levels of instruction, in both public and private schools, to stimulate professional growth, and to foster interest in the French language and in francophone literature and cultures. The chapter organizes events promoting the study of French by giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, proficiency, and passion with peers across the region. We invite all French teachers to join the network in the North Texas region.

As one of six AATF chapters in the Lone Star State, the North Texas Chapter is committed to serve educators from more than 20 counties surrounding the Dallas-Fort Worth area -- specifically within the zip codes 75000 to 76399. This includes counties like Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Ellis, Parker, Kaufman, Rockwall, Johnson, Wichita, Grayson, Hunt, Wise, Navarro, Hood, Fannin, Cooke, Erath, Palo Pinto, Montague, Wilbarger, Young, Clay, Somervell, Jack, Archer, Baylor, Hardeman, Throckmorton, and Foard.
