7:30 AM - 3:15 PM

Great Valley School District is seeking an innovative, passionate, and dedicated French/Gifted Teacher to join our team.  We are looking for a candidate with a strong commitment to cultural understanding, inclusive teaching practices, and collaborative professional growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and facililtate GIEP meetings.
Write GIEP documents in accordance with district protocols.
Comply with PDE timelines for evaluations and submission of paperwork
Commitment to teaching French language and culture.
Experience working with Gifted learners is highly preferred.

Essential Functions:
Develops and administers school curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Coordinates with other professional staff members, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.  

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in French/World Languages or Education.
Strong proficiency in French (both written and spoken).
PA certification in French. 
Preferred:

Previous teaching experience in a K-12 classroom setting. 
Familiarity with ACTFL standards and proficiency-based language teaching methodologies. 
Experience working with diverse student populations and differentiating instruction.

Master's + 30 $82,995 to $93,845 (Step 10)

Master's + 45 $85,470 to $96,570 (Step 10)

Master's + 60 $87,945 to $99,295 (Step 10)

Doctorate $90,420 to $102,020 (Step 10)
