National French Week

2023 & 2024

The Commission created two sets of square images to be shared on social media for each of the eight days of National French Week in 2023 & 2024. The images were designed to match the 2023-2024 National French Week poster designed by the commission's chair, Justin Charles, and align with 2023's theme of All around me, la francophonie! and 2024's theme of Le français - langue globale.

2022

The Commission created template on Canva.com for French teachers, their former & current students, and other French speakers to use to create their own image to share to celebrate the year’s theme of “Le Français, langue de la diversité / French, Language of Diversity”.

2021

The Commission created fourteen images to be shared on social media aligned to the year’s theme of “Venez découvrir le monde francophone! / Come discover the French-speaking world!”  These images feature pictures from around the French-speaking world and identify their location. The Commission also created a playlist of songs from around the French-speaking world that can be found on both Spotify and Amazon Music.

2020

In 2020, the Commission created seven images to be shared on social media aligned to the year’s theme of “Tout est possible avec le français / Everything is possible with French”  These images featured pictures from around la francophonie paired a related catch phrase.  They can be downloaded here: Tout est possible 2020  and the text used for the posts can be found here: NFW 2020 Picture Info

2019

In 2019, the Commission created seven images to be shared on social media aligned to the year’s theme of “Le Français Chez Moi”  These images shared information about French and its use in the United States of America.  They can be downloaded here: Le Francais Chez Moi 2019

2018

In 2018, the Commission created a series of thirty images to be shared on social media aligned to the year’s theme of “Mon Français, Mon Avenir / My French, My Future”  These images shared stories of former students of members who went on to use French later in life.  They can be downloaded here: My French My Future 2018

2017

In 2017, the Commission created seven images to be shared on social media aligned to the year’s theme of “Le Français—langue globale / French—A Global Language”  The facts from 2017 were updated after the release of the La langue française dans le monde 2018.
