Professional Bio

I am a World Language Department Chair, French and Spanish teacher, instructional leader, and educational technology specialist with over 22 years of experience in language education. I am committed to advancing proficiency-based instruction through curriculum development, assessment, data-informed decision-making, and the meaningful integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning. My research focuses on teacher professional learning, professional organizations, and strategies to improve language proficiency, particularly interpersonal communication. I am a recipient of the NECTFL MEAD Fellowship and a Chevalier (Knight) in the Ordre des Palmes Académiques, one of France's highest honors recognizing contributions to education and the promotion of French language and culture. I regularly present at regional, national, and international conferences and have contributed to professional publications, sharing research-based strategies that strengthen language proficiency, instructional practice, educational technology, and teacher leadership.
