Welcome to the Chicago & Northern Illinois chapter of the AATF!

The Chicago & Northern Illinois Chapter sponsors cultural and pedagogical programs and events that further the professional development of French teachers at all levels. The Chapter also provides opportunities for students to improve their language skills by participating in the High School Immersion Day, the National French Contest and National French Week activities. 

A newsletter, Francofeuilles, and ebulletins are sent to members to promote French-related events taking place in the area. Teachers who have made outstanding contributions to the profession are recognized at an annual awards luncheon and ceremony. The Chapter collaborates with many schools and universities, cultural centers and government officials representing the Francophone world.
