Description:  Windermere Preparatory School is seeking a credentialed educator of French for our Middle School World Languages Department to teach grades 6-8. Topics of study include elements of communication, commonalities across languages, international mindedness, and above all, global perspective.

Ideal candidates will possess 3-5+ years relevant experience. Experience in the private school sector is preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s Degree in French required, Master’s Degree preferred as well as Florida teaching certification preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, teach, and assess within the International Baccalaureate MYP framework as well as middle school classes.
• Work with grade level and department teams to ensure the best possible educational experience for all students
• Select and plan appropriate learning and teaching activities that are in alignment with Windermere Preparatory School and Nord Anglia Education
• Exercise good classroom management with the use of fair and consistent standards and appropriate sanctions that are clearly articulated to the students +

SKILL SET REQUIREMENT
• Willingness to learn the IB curriculum and teaching style
• Ability to articulate the Mission, Vision, and Values of the school as well as Nord Anglia Education
• Ability to display comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction within the appropriate content area and/or grade level
• Ability to function as a student achievement advocate and advisor
• In depth understanding of all elements, goals, instructional best practice strategies, embodied in the school’s Academic Plan (MAP), as well as the ability to clearly articulate the plan to parents and students
